Great sounding show!
This was a cold, wet and windy show. The band had to put up with some wet equipment, wind blowing them around and proved that not only are they one of the most professional bands, they thrive on adversity. I thought they would pack it in after a half hour, but they took it up another notch.
The bird song was truly amazing. The fireworks during Here Comes Sunshine drove them, Jeff especially, over the top. It became surreal.
Rob had a great show, check out the good lovin', his rap was just plain fun. Really a great, short show.
Notes
Notes:
- This show was an original setlist, with one drummer performed in an early 70's setup
- Drummer Rob Koritz was not with the band due to the birth of his new baby. Congrats Rob!
- Rainy and windy conditions throughout the show
- Fireworks were going off nearby in Downtown Buffalo during Eyes
- Stand lowered to 6.5' from El Paso on to protect the mics better from the wind and rain
- Mics and stand umbrella remounted during Loose Lucy as rain became heavy and I came VERY close to pulling the plug! Mics were hand held for a few moments during Loose Lucy while the mounts were repositioned to fight the sideways rain
- Big thanks to Pat Logan, Big Daddy Matt and my cousin Joey Stern for the assistance during the mic adjustment period!
